Darlene McMullin | Residential Coordinator
Darlene McMullin is a part of our Residential team. She has many years of experience working with youth and people with disabilities. She is originally from American Samoa and attended Chaminade University of Honolulu where she received her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences in 1985. She returned to Samoa and worked for the Special Education department first as a part of the assessment team and then as an instructor. After 5 years she left Special Education to work for Goodwill Industries of American Samoa as the Client Services Coordinator. In 1994 she moved to Arizona and worked for 9 years for Phoenix Job Corps first as a Residential Advisor and then as Supervisor.
Darlene enjoys working at LDI and helping the students reach their goals through mentoring and teaching. Some of her responsibilities are teaching cooking class, menu and grocery planning, helping with organizational skills, and helping students manage their medications.
Darlene likes traveling and hanging out with her 13 year old son (Robert). They are currently learning to golf and play the ukulele.
