Procedures
Upon completion and submission of information, as indicated above, an on-campus interview with LDI administrators will be arranged and scheduled. The interview and campus tour will consist of a review of the information submitted with the application, a full discussion of the LDI program components, meetings with several staff members, and a luncheon with staff and students. Also, a key part of the interview is a tour of the residential complex where LDI students live and are engaged in social, independent-living and community-based activities. The interview/visit must be scheduled in advance; its duration is approximately 4 hours.
Once accepted, an enrollment package will be sent within two (2) weeks. Contents include a contract for student services which must be signed and returned with full payment of Residential Contract fees, the Program Contract fees and an initial $400 for the student's personal account.
